What do you think of the PS3's Cell architecture? How much harder is it for developers to write asymmetric multiprocessing code that will run on the PPE and the SPE's? How difficult will it be to port code that is tuned for the Cell over to the 360 while maintaining good performance? Do you think Sony made the architecture complex deliberately to make porting that way harder, or were they just trying to get maximum performance out of their system?
I don't think the Cell is as well ...
Do you think game consoles and games are becoming more expensive with each generation? Clearly the development costs are skyrocketing. How does Microsoft plan to combat this and grow the market?
We alleviate this by providing excellent software and development tools, comprehensive online services, and a great piece of hardware that is relatively easy to understand and use. Our development tools in particular allow developers to make games faster and focus more time on making th...
You hit the nail on the head. ATI is the leading graphics card maker in the World today. They haven't lied before and they were just speaking technical about their product compared to Sony's. Same with Microsoft. I would love to read some articles from anyone is Sony's camp expressing how the ps3 will out perform the 360. You won't see that. What ATI and Microsoft have been saying is backed by 3rd party developers. The only thing Sony can say is the ps3 has more peak power. Thats it. ...
lol...you did it again. You copied and pasted your Loooooooong post of your opinions mixed with your own personal lies. You never supply links for your lies and Eternal E 808 just showed why all your mumbo jumbo babble means nothing. Gears of War is still a first gen game for the 360 and blows away anything the ps3 will ever be able to do. Without xna, direct x 10, ect.... WOW...
Good to see there are other True gamers out there who can report on Sony for a Sony site and still enjoy other consoles and games. Thats awesome. A gamer is a gamer. They love games and they play the best that different consoles have to offer. That can be repsected unlike some sony fanboys who only play sony and have no idea what being a gamer is all about. They bash anything not sony without ever playing it. Like I have been saying. Not only is an editor from ps3land buying a 360 but ...
While we previewed Tiger 07 from Chicago earlier this week, we finally got our hands-on one hole of Tiger on a PlayStation 3 development-kit, which is the size of a large briefcase and sounds like a giant bee-hive. Tiger PS3 is noticeably behind the 360 version,
If 100 million plus ps2 owners bought less than 2 million copies of "in my opinion" The best ps2 game ever...God of War. How many people will buy it for the ps3 with a much smaller user base? I'm just curious. Don't flame me. I just don't understand how Sony fans as a WHOLE could pass up on the greatest game for the ps2. Gods of War for the ps2 sold like PGR2, Fable, Forza, Fusion Frenzy, ect....With a smaller user base on the xbox. Its just odd and I don't understand Sony fan...
I read that same article. They said the same thing about the Madden comparisson. The 360 version looked much better than the ps3 version to date. See, now everyone is assuming that the ps3 version will be on par with the 360 version. But me, I wouldn't be surprised if its not. Why? Because of what the devs have been saying across the board.
I would love to hear your reasons why you "think" Ps3 will dominate. Humor us.
Is it.....
A. Because it has blu ray and everyone wants a blu ray player.
B. Because it is the most powerful system in the world?
C. Because its sooooo affordable for the Majority of gamers?
D. Because Sony makes it and they sold 100 million plus in the previous gen at 130 to 199 ?
See what you have to realize i...
Your attempt to call me names, to say I'm broke, ect... Just shows you can't deal with the truth. Its ok.

I'm touchable...I'm real...I don't hide behind a computer and tell lies. And then call people names and say they are a kid because they don't agree with Sony's way. Ask for a link for anything I have...
I used your quote against you. lol... And Gamepro Ps3 is reporting news for the ps3. The link I gave is the full article. The Gamepro ps3 quotes were taken out of context. Once people read what John Carmack says as a whole they can see what you tried to do. lol... You can't fool grown folks. And your name calling is sad. John Carmack never once said in his full interview what you stated. He never said the ps3 is more powerful. You take a out of context quote and turn it into somthing h...
She only says it over and over because thats a major area for developers. Thats why Prey won't be coming to the ps3. Not enough system memory. I know you want to ignore that. But its a big gripe developers have. Ps3 has one real processor and very little system memory. Everything is based off of the cell streaming info with its dsp's. And developers have been on record saying thats good for hd movies or cg but not games. It bottle necks the system memory. Its just the way it is. All...
So says John Carmack, the legendary programmer of the Doom and Quake series, in an intriguing interview with Buzzscope. Though Carmack expresses a "preference" for the Xbox 360's CPU design, he admits that the PS3 "will have a bit more peak power."
Sony fans shouldn't break out the champagne just yet, however, as Carmack notes that "it will be easier to exploit the available power on the 360."
Thats what Sony was shooting for. Peak Po...
The link you provided is from the ps3 section of Gamepro..lol...they took quotes out of context. lol....I gave quotes from Carmack straight from the original interview. lol..... Nice Try. Your trickery and lies don't work on Grown ups...lol...

Standard DVD & CD Performance: As I’ve mentioned earlier in this article, the Samsung is not my choice for being my upconverting DVD player of choice. I’d rather use my older Pioneer Elite unit to handle the DVD tasks than the Samsung. The Toshiba is, however, a great upconverting DVD player. The image is very clear and detail approaches HD quality. I did some A-B comparisons between my Pioneer and the two players with “Jarhead” and “Alf: Season Two.” You could see many more details on “J...
Carmack's platform of choice for console development is the Xbox 360, and he explained why.
The Xbox 360 was designed to have a very thin API layer. In Carmack's words, he can "basically talk directly to the hardware ... doing exactly what I want."
Here Carmack heaped praise on the decisions that Microsoft has made with the Xbox 360. "It's the best development environment I've seen on a console," he says. Microsoft has taken a very developer-centric ...

ATI Technologies today announced that Microsoft Corp. has chosen ATI's H.264 decoder for the Xbox 360 HD DVD player, bringing users sharper, more true-to-life visuals and smoother playback of high-definition content.
HD DVDs encoded using one of three approved codecs deliver up to six times the resolution of traditional DVDs all on a single disc. Built on ATI's Avivo technology, the decoder used for th...
Lying again huh? lol... Show us the article that John Carmack says that in. He never said that. Give us the link to the article or stop posting your lies. lol.... Not again. What he did say is he believes that games will look and play better on the 360. The developers of Prey even said that ps3 isn't powerful enough to run their game. lol... Get your ps3 and be happy with it. We are more than happy and we exuberate the same confidence 90% of developers have in the 360 over the lesser ...
Ge-Maga, a long running Japanese gaming magazine, polled a large number of game developers on their opinions of the recent PS3 developments. The results are in, and it looks seemingly grim for Sony.
90.29 percent of the developers feel the PS3 is too expensive.
56.31 percent disagree with Sony's choice of releasing two versions of the console.
55.82 percent feel that the PS3 will not sell with the current lineup of launch titles.
32.52 percent say they are ...
